This one day course prepares you to stay alive in an emergency. It will show you how to make the best use of a liferaft and you will learn some basic survival techniqes.

Whether you spend your time day sailing, speeding through the solent in your family RIB or planning a channel (or further!) crossing, this course will build confidence in how to stay alive, should the worse happen.

None – this course is perfect for those new to boating and those who are seasoned sailors alike.
During this one day course, we’ll talk about Liferafts and the equipment they contain, survival techniques, lifejackets, medical aspects of sea survival, search and rescue techniques.
You’ll also put theory into practice with a 90 minute pool session which includes the inflation and use of a Liferaft.
In order for our brilliant instructors to issue your RYA Certificate, you’ll need to show a good knowledge of the safety equipment carried on small boats and the techniques needed to survive at sea in heavy weather.
