Our Ofsted Registered Holiday Activities are some of the most popular children's holiday activities locally. Our action packed programmes are full of fun, enjoyment and learning - and most follow the highly regarded RYA Youth Sailing Scheme.
Getting afloat doesn't have to be for a select few. Our Holiday Activities are suitable for everybody and cater for Beginners through to Advanced sailors!

As an RYA (Royal Yachting Assosiation) Training Centre, our Holiday Activities follow the RYA Youth National Sailing Scheme – because we know that having fun, making incredible memories and learning a variety of life-long skills along the way is so important.
Join us (and hundreds of others each year!) in learning the ropes with our fun-filled week of basic sailing for children aged 8 and above.
No experience needed – we’ll start at the very beginning and ensure your child enjoys a new skillset for life!
We aim to cover the RYA Stage 1 and 2 syllabus and issue their certificates over the course of the week.
This is our next step for young sailors ages 8 and above who have achieved their RYA Stage 2 and want to progress on to the next level!
Our friendly team of instructors will ensure children receive a refresher of skills over 5-days, whilst working towards their RYA Stage 3.
This is the perfect activity week for children who have sailed since their Active Sail Beginner week. If your children are a little rusty or not been afloat for 12 months, we’d recommend checking out our Improver Sailing Week.
Practising your sailing skills regularly is the key – we call this ‘Tiller Time’!
If your children haven’t been afloat in a while, if it’s been about a year (or more) since their last RYA course or if you want them to simply get out, have fun and build their confidence, we highly recommend this week long activity.
Our Improver Sailing Week still follows all RYA teaching practises and therefore children can work towards, and achieve, their RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Qualifications.
This activity is suitable for those aged 8 years+ who already hold their RYA Youth Stage 2 certificate.
Our week-long RYA Stage 4 course is perfect for sailors aged 8 and above who have already achieved their Stage 3 certificate.
Our purpose built RYA Training Centre means children will sail in a range of boats and practice skills in double-handed dinghies, working towards their RYA Stage 4 certificate.

Each year we deliver a variety of the RYA Advanced Sailing Modules for Youth Sailors.
These include; Seamanship Skills, Sailing with Spinnakers, Performance Sailing, Day Sailing, Start Racing and Intermediate Racing.

We know sometimes you just need the occasional day of childcare and don’t want to commit to an entire week activity package.
We’ve got incredible water-based experiences kids of all ages with absolutely LOVE!
Water fun days are an exciting selection of our favourite activities; sailing, stand up paddleboarding, raft building and mega SUPing!
Because we plan each day around the weather and tide to maximise fun every course is different so you can keep enjoying water fun days all year long!

Teen watersport sessions are a great way to meet like minded people, have fun and try something new at the same time.
Over the sessions you will complete a progressive series of sailing, stand up paddleboarding and windsurfing sessions that allow participants to develop their skills in a fun, group environment.
In amongst these sessions the group will undergo a raft race challenge and go on a powerboat thrill ride to round off their experience!

My 10 and 9 year old did a week long beginners sailing course at SWAC. They loved every day! They both made friends, talked non-stop about what they had learnt and even had a great day when it was too wet and windy to sail.
My two children were enrolled in a course over the holidays and they not only had a great time, they learnt and gained confidence in their sailing skills.
My two teenagers went to SWAC every day for a week in Summer 2017 and really enjoyed it. This is the 4th summer they've done that. Very much recommended if kids (or adults) like being on the water. The instructors looked after them well.
