SmartCities Scheme – Local Active Nation Venues
Residents who qualify for the SmartCities scheme can enjoy discounts on a variety of sport and exercise activities across Southampton! Active Nation, in partnership with Southampton City Council’s SmartCities team, is offering discounted access to our local leisure venues for SmartCities cardholders with a Get Active subscription.
If you’re a SmartCities cardholder with a Get Active subscription, you can enjoy the following activities at a reduced rate:

All activities are available from 9:00am to 4:00pm (last entry 3:15pm), Monday to Friday, all year round.
• No need to book: Gym and swimming sessions are drop-in, but for badminton or table tennis, please book at the front desk.
• For the Outdoor Sports Centre activities, participants can just turn up and pay on the day.
Residents within the Southampton City Council area, who receive certain benefits, are eligible for discounted activities with a Get Active subscription on their SmartCities card. The discount applies during off-peak hours at participating leisure venues across Southampton.
To apply, follow the instructions in the application form which outlines the documents you’ll need. You’ll need to provide proof of your identity, address, and a colour passport photograph (you can get your photo taken at the Gateway, though this is not guaranteed). Evidence of your eligibility for the Get Active subscription must be updated every 12 months.

Unwaged partners or children under 18 may also qualify if the main applicant receives one of the first four benefits. Benefits marked in bold apply to individual claimants only, so partners or children may not qualify.
