Our two day (or 8-10 hours) basic introduction to navigation and safety for anyone new to boating is perfect for sailors, powerboaters, sea anglers, divers and boatmasters. Also useful for experienced dinghy and keelboat sailors and inshore racers wanting to top up their knowledge and skill.
It's a perfect accompaniment to on water training such as RYA Powerboat level 2, Start Yachting and the Helmsman course.
The price includes your course certificate and all materials required for classroom or online learning.

Delivered via the RYA’s Interactive online learning course, this enables you to complete the course at your own pace with our instructors on hand to guide you, should you need it.
You can always reach out to our team of expert instructors who are on hand to assist with anything you get stuck with – it’s the perfect way to learn.
Your booking confirmation will include a web link and your password to the RYA Interactive SWAC Training E-Learning Site. We will also post you the necessary training charts and instruments. You can begin the course straight away, and can be done at times that suit you.
Please note that you you have up to six months to complete the course.
Upon successful completion of the course and examination, you’ll be awarded RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship certification.
