Once you've got the basics nailed, the RYA Intermediate Powerboat courses are the next step in the pathway to better boating.
Day trips and night time navigation can be tricky, so it's best to undergo some tailored training.
This course covers the practical use of pilotage and passage planning by day on coastal waters using both traditional and electronic navigational techniques and is suitable for those aged 16 years plus.
Boat handling to the standard of the Level 2 Powerboat Handling course.
Knowledge to the level of Day Skipper theory is recommended.
It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a first aid certificate and a VHF/SRC operators certificate.
This course is delivered over 2 days with both days beginning and ending at SWAC.
