The Quays is one of only four high performance centres for diving in the UK. With Lindsey Fraser heading up the diving programme and a team of highly skilled coaches, The Quays has helped to train a number of high profile athletes.
Facilities for diving at the Quays are some of the best in the south of England. There are two 1m and two 3m springboards and 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m platforms, all suitable for competition at International level. Bubble-making machines give divers extra cushioning when they execute new dives. A state-of-the-art TIVO system allows divers to watch their performance with a time-delayed replay from video feedback. In addition there are excellent studio facilities for dryland training, including dry boards and a trampoline.
The Quays is home to a programme that caters for complete beginners up to internationally competing divers. We have a competition structure that straddles beginners all the way to national elite level, we host five competitions per year.
Diving Taster Sessions
We give people the opportunity to have a go at diving through our taster scheme. These 30 minute sessions are open to people aged between 6 and 13 years old for children’s sessions or 14 and 17 years old for teenage sessions. We also offer adult taster sessions for people aged 18 years or older.
All taster sessions are priced at £7.25 per person.
The sessions act as an introduction to the sport and offer people the opportunity to see whether they would like to enrol on our six week lessons courses. For more information please: 023 8072 0906 or email: email@example.com or use the DOWNLOADS section below.
Adults Lessons Scheme
We offer a number of options for adults who wish to develop and improve their diving skills. Lessons are structured to enable divers to safely learn skills and progress at their own pace. For more information and times, please contact us on 023 8072 0922 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some people would be surprised to know that our professional divers don’t just train in the diving pool. They spend a lot of time doing dry land training, which involves strength and conditioning, dry diving boards and trampolining. We are pleased to now be able to offer dry land sessions to both adults and children.
The sessions will introduce participants to what dry land training involves and will enable them to improve upon skills they will use in pool-based sessions.
Children and Teenager Lessons Scheme
We run a regular lessons scheme for 6 to 13 year olds and 14 to 17 year olds. Lessons are structured for divers to progress through a series of skills, organised into grades.
Participants are taught using a progressive approach and will safely learn skills, progressing at their own pace. If your child is interested in diving and has no experience, we recommend the New Beginner Lessons. For more information and times, please contact us on 023 8072 0922 or email: email@example.com.
Catering for 4 – 6 year olds, this group introduces very young children to the basics of diving without going in the pool!

Learn To Swim To Dive
We offer ‘Learn to Swim to Dive’ courses for children who are interested in diving but have little or no experience in swimming. Our aim is to get children to a swimming level that will allow them to begin diving lessons as quickly as possible.
These sessions are for ages 7 to 19 years, and cater for people with learning and/or physical disabilities and their families or carers. Free pre-visits are available and we would encourage people to call us to discuss their individual requirements.
