Now you’ve had your lessons, it’s time to practice at your own pace. These 1 hour practise sessions are a great way to build your confidence on the slope and get in those vital hours to develop your skills. Choose between practising on our middle slope or top slope, depending on your confidence level.
Recreational practise is available to anyone who has completed our Skiing Level 1-4
To save money, book Recreational Skiing in advance as the walk-in price is higher.
Our Ski & Tea sessions are a brilliant way to practise on slopes, when they’re a little quieter.
Happening once a week, the Ski & Tea sessions also include light refreshments for afterwards!
This is perfect for those who meet the criteria to practice and want to work on their confidence. The quieter slopes mean you have more time to perfect your skills without more skilled skiers racing past!
Yes – Our Recreational sessions are for people with skiing or snowboarding experience and are confident on our top slope, with the ability to turn & stop.
For the car park above the ski slope use the postcode SO16 7LT to take you to Vermont Cl. Once on Vermont Cl bear off to the left past the swimming pool and school. At the end of the road turn right and this road will lead you to the car park above the slope. Take the steps down to reception.
Gloves, long trousers and long sleeved top must be worn at all times whilst on the slopes. Hard hats are also compulsory for those aged 6 and under (and strongly recommended for all ages). Skis, boots, boards and ski poles are provided free of charge to borrow.
Gloves can be purchased from reception.
Yes – Spectators can watch from our fenced viewing platform, on the outside of the slope.
No – All beginners need to be taught but our instructors and show competency before being allowed on the Recreational Sessions.
We sell hot drinks such as tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Soft drinks & sweets/ snacks are also available to purchase.
Our main slopes is 100 metres. Our medium slope is around 80-90 metres and our junior slope is around 20 metres.
