My name is Dan; I am a Personal Trainer with a passion for helping people to change their lives through health and fitness.
In 2010 I weighed over 18 stone. Being overweight had a negative impact on my health, my confidence, relationships, family life, and work life; in fact it had an impact on all areas of my life.
I tried every diet I could find from shakes & soups to points tracking & ‘magic’ diet pills. Time and time again I would lose a bit of weight then fall of the wagon and wind up back where I started. Before chucking in the towel I decided to give my last resort a go and join a gym – this changed everything!
Over 2 years I fell in love with exercise and discovered a healthy lifestyle that didn’t involve dieting and giving up my favourite foods. It took time and hard work, but in total I lost over 5 stone!
Losing weight completely changed my life!!!

Sport has always been a passion of mine from a very young age; I was always at my happiest when I was outdoors being active and this stood me in good stead to successfully step in to an effective coaching role in a range of sports.
Football was always at the forefront of my personal sporting endeavours and I continued to play up to semi-professional level. Unfortunately, I was plighted by injury and was forced to stop playing altogether at the risk of long-term ligament damage.
This inspired me to get in to the gym and work on strengthening the muscles around the joint. During this time, soon discovered a love for fitness training; I loved the way it made me feel, both physically and mentally, and it went a long way to filling the void left by the loss of football.
I’d always taken pleasure from the feeling of helping someone achieve their goals during my career as a sports coach and realised I could have even more of an impact as a Personal Trainer.
I am passionate about helping my clients to achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be. As a Personal Trainer, I believe it is vital that the people I work with have a positive experience with their training and become empowered; I want them to become confident enough to take real ownership of their fitness and health both during and beyond their time with me.
