Up Your Tempo And Play Rush Hockey
A fast, furious and fun way to play hockey has arrived at Birchwood Leisure Centre.
Hurricane Sports are working with Lincoln Roses Hockey Club to deliver Rush Hockey Sessions in a bid to encourage more people to take up the sport in Lincoln.
Rush Hockey is a new, flexible, fun and small sided hockey game for adults. It can be played in mixed or single gender teams, indoors or outdoors and on pitches of varying surfaces and sizes.
Teams are 4 or 5 a side with squads of up to 7 players. It is played with a standard hockey stick, but has unique goals and balls. The rules are very simple and the games are self umpired
Gary Johnson from Hurricane Sports said: “It’s fast, furious, fun and a great way to get fit!
“Whether you join as a team or an individual, we accommodate all abilities and all playing equipment is provided!”
Rush Hockey games are held every Tuesday from 5pm-6pm at Birchwood Leisure Centre. The sessions cost £2 but the first one is free. Arrive in sportswear and all other equipment will be provided. For more information visit www.hurricanesports.co.uk
