“I love the community spirit here at Birchwood, and there’s a real sense of a personal touch when you step through the door into the Centre – a friendliness that makes all our Supporters feel welcome and cared for. This is what makes Birchwood different from other leisure centres, as does the presence of a former Second World War runway on its land!
Our defining feature here is our expanse of Football Foundation-supported football facilities, including several grass pitches and an artificial surface. However, you definitely don’t need to be keen on the beautiful game to make the most of Birchwood. There’s loads of exciting ways for you to get active, from the adrenaline-pumping exercise on our power plate functional circuit to the thrills and spills of the great game that is carpet bowls. We really have got something for everyone here.

School Holiday Activity Camps

We have teamed up with Fit For Sport to run Ofsted registered children’s activity camps for 5-12 year olds in the school hols at Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln.
