Ramp Up The Red With Us
Ramp Up The Red With Us
Active Nation will Ramp Up The Red on 7th February 2014 in a bid to raise money and help fight coronary heart disease – the UK’s biggest single killer.
Ramp Up The Red is one day to take red to the extreme, and raise money to help fund the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) life-saving research. We are inviting all of our Supporters to join us in the fight for every heartbeat by wearing red clothes, red make-up or red fancy dress at our venues this Friday. Go as red as your dare!
Across the country, all of our teams will be taking up the challenge to support a cause that is very important to us.
As a charity our mission is all about ‘persuading the nation to be active’. If you are physically active you will increase your life span, regardless of any adverse inherited factors. Physical activity, at any age, protects against a multitude of chronic health problems including many forms of cardiovascular disease.
We cannot do this alone and we want YOU to help us raise as much money as possible. And it couldn’t be easier, simply pop in to one of our venues on 7th Feb 2014 - we’ll be wearing red and we want you to join us. It would be great to see our classes, pools and gyms filled with people supporting Ramp Up The Red.
Just think, if everyone who came in took part and donated £1 we could really make a difference and help the BHF.
For more than 50 years the BHF has pioneered research that’s transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions. This work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.
From babies born with life-threatening heart problems to the many Mums, Dads and Grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure – so many people rely on the research, help and support of the BHF. Every pound raised really will make a difference.
Get involved, have FUN and let’s help the British Heart Foundation to continue saving lives! To see what’s happening at your nearest Active Nation venue, give us a call!
