Lead Instructor
Job Title: Lead Instructor
Location: Southampton Water Activities Centre (SWAC)

Job Description:
We’re looking for exceptional Lead Instructors who can draw on a range of outdoor coaching and teaching practices to oversee and deliver outstanding water sports activities, whist ensuring the day-to-day operation of the venue is seamless.
SWAC – powered by Active Nation, is part of an incredible charity with the goal to inspire the nation to improve their health and wellbeing and discover the great outdoors. We require someone who can translate their passion for water sports into the BRILLIANT leadership of our team. The right candidate would take on duty manager responsibilities for and oversee sessions in Dinghy, Powerboating and Paddle sports.
You will
- Have a minimum of one year of operational experience at a water sport venue
- Hold a minimum of RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor (or be working towards or able to complete within two weeks of appointment)
- Take responsibility of day to day running of our busy south coast water sports venue
- Use your excellent observational skills to ensure the venue delivers the highest standards in health, safety, and service quality
- Be inspired to continually develop within your professional marine qualifications and people leadership skillset
DESIRABLE (to hold or working towards one of the following)
- BCAB Paddle sports instructor (or equivalent)
- RYA Powerboat Instructor
- RYA Multi hull Instructor
- RYA First aid instructor
- RYA SRC Assessor
