One Day Beginner Ski Course (Age 12+)
Learn before you hit the slopes to make the most out of your holiday time!
Our one day beginner ski course is a great way to learn the basics. During the course you will learn to control your speed and direction as well as use the ski lift with the aim of getting you to our practice standard by the end of the day!
There is 6 hours of teaching throughout the day with time set aside for lunch and drink breaks.
Running on Sundays from 10am – 5pm here is how the day looks:
- Kit up (Arrive 20 min early)
- 1.5hr Slope Time – Learn to Slide
- 15min Refreshment Break
- 1.5hr Slope Time – Learn to Snowplough
- 30min Lunch
- 1.5hr Slope Time – Learn to Turn
- 15min Refreshment Break
- 1.5hr Slope Time – Practice and Development
Once you are at the practice standard you can keep developing your skiing skills with recreational practice or by attending one of our supervised/coached practice sessions – Ski & Tea or Ski Tips.
WHAT SHALL I BRING?
Please bring long sleeves, long trousers and a pair of gloves which are essential for all slope activities.
Essential equipment like skis, snowboards, boots and poles are provided.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Lessons will take place in all weather conditions at Alpine Snowsports Aldershot, so please ensure you bring waterproofs if it’s raining. In the unlikely event that Alpine Snowsports Aldershot deems the slope too dangerous, we will contact you to rearrange.
