BSUPA Level 1 SUP Instructor (2 day)
A two day Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) course providing the candidates the skills to deliver the BSUPA Ready to Ride course.
What is it?
The two days consist of a mixture of on water and classroom sessions, providing you with the skills and confidence to deliver the BSUPA Ready to Ride course. It comprises of learning the method and structure of the courses, how to demonstrate skills and any safety considerations for SUP instructing. Across the days there will be opportunities to practice coaching other candidates whilst also developing your own personal SUP skills. By the end of the course you will have a solid foundation of paddleboarding knowledge and be ready to inspire others into taking up this rapidly growing sport.
Prior to certificates being issued you will have to be a current BSUPA member and shadow teach a qualified BSUPA level 1 instructor

We have courses running in February, April and October
Who is it for?
The course is for anyone with SUP experience over the age of 18 looking to start teaching others the basics of Stand up paddleboarding. The course is pitched towards people with little or no teaching experience as this forms part of the course content. The pre-requisites for the course are:
|· RYA Powerboat Level 2||· Valid First Aid qualification||· 40 hours SUP experience|

If you are already a qualified instructor in another watersport then there is a BSUPA Level 1 Instructor Conversion (1 day) course.
How much is it?
After experience delivering BSUPA ready to ride courses the next step is the BSUPA level 2 Instructor in either surf or touring/race.
