4 Day Advanced Training Instructor & …
Our 4 day advanced training instructor and assessment course is for existing RYA instructors enabling them to deliver the RYA Performance Sailing and Sailing with Spinnakers courses.
What is it?
The four day course teaches the candidates the skills needed to deliver the syllabus outlined in the National Sailing Scheme. It gives those who are less experienced in performance boats an opportunity for two days dedicated training before going through to the two day endorsement course. The final two days formulate the instructor course, where it assumed that the teaching skills are transferred from previous instructor qualifications and focuses on the syllabus specific content. Methods for delivering the syllabus both on the water and ashore will allow instructors to confidently and safely deliver some of the most technical elements of the National Sailing Scheme. The course covers the use of spinnakers, trapeze and how to tune a performance rig.
When is it?
19-20th May 2018
Who is it for?
You should be an RYA Dinghy Instructor with ideally a seasons worth of experience teaching. Experience in high performance boats fitted with trapeze and spinnakers would be advantageous however these elements will be covered in the two training days.
How much is it?
£325 for 4 days with training
£205 for the 2 day endorsement.
The next step is to get out and start teaching with your new qualification! There is also the option to further your diversity with another endorsement such as the Multihull, Keelboat or Racing Instructor.
- A great way to diversify qualifications.
- Training in a coastal location helps with employability.
- Ideal opportunity for syllabus specific training prior to instructor endorsement.
- Perfect option for those looking to condense training time.
