Anyone For Tennis?

With Wimbledon running from today until the 15th, we’re all about racket sports this month. The oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, the event has been played at the All England Club in Wimbledon since 1877. In celebration of the tournament, we are dedicating this Locker to work-outs that will get you training like a pro.

Playing tennis is a fantastic way to build your fitness, strength and agility. Did you know that an hour-long game of singles tennis burns around 600 calories for men and 420 calories for women?

So, if you are feeling inspired by the games you have seen so far, grab a racket, find a court and go and enjoy a game of tennis.

A big thank you to Surbiton Rackets & Fitness Club for taking the time to share some great exercises that will help you to improve your game.

In the meantime, enjoy Wimbledon and find out more about tennis at your local Active Nation venue here.
