Get Active! Have Fun! Join The Fight To …

Wear It Beat It Website

Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer – in fact 1 in 4 of our loved ones are lost to heart and circulatory disease. On Friday 6th February all Active Nation venues will be joining the British Heart Foundation’s Wear It. Beat It. campaign and we want you to too!

Wear It. Beat It. is one day to raise money to help fund the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) life-saving research. We are inviting all of our supporters to join us by wearing red clothes, red make-up or red fancy dress at our venues. Go as red as your dare!

Across the country, all of our teams will be taking up the challenge to support a cause that is very important to us.

As a charity we’re on a mission to ‘persuade the nation to be active’. Physical activity, at any age, protects against a multitude of chronic health problems including many forms of heart disease.

We cannot do this alone and we want YOU to help us raise as much money as possible. And it couldn’t be easier, simply pop in to one of our venues on February 6th – we’ll be wearing red and we want you to join us. It would be great to see our classes, pools and gyms filled with people supporting the Wear It. Beat It. campaign.

For more than 50 years the BHF has pioneered research that’s transformed the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions. This work has been central to the discoveries of vital treatments that are changing the fight against heart disease.

From babies born with life-threatening heart problems to the many Mums, Dads and Grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure – so many people rely on the research, help and support of the BHF.

Just £50 will fund 2 promising young scientists for an hour, as they work to find new ways to diagnose, prevent, treat and cure heart disease. If everyone who came to an Active Nation venue on February 6th took part and donated £1 we could really make a difference and help the BHF.

Get involved, have fun and let’s help the British Heart Foundation to continue saving lives! To see what’s happening at your nearest Active Nation venue, give us a call!
